Wow! I love this story! Not sure how true it is... (kinda does look like giant mats of hair. ie: poor grooming) but wouldn't it be cool if it were true?

Your new blog looks very nice; I like the design.About the winged cats: Daughter Juliette (I am currently visiting with her in Seattle) and I choose the "bad grooming" theory. This appears to be deliberate bad grooming. I have noticed that if you let a long haired cat go the fur can become matted into huge clumps (don't ask me how I know this!). So, if one groomed and clipped selectively one could achieve the effect of wings as in your photo. What say you? Regards.....Johnny B
